It was a pleasant October evening in the year 2007, I was about 9 years old. I came back home from school, had a chat with parents as I was having my evening snack. My Dad told me about a prayer meeting that we had to attend that evening. I rushed to my room as I saw the clock tick 5:10 PM to change into my tracksuit. We then decided that dad would pick us up from the Stadium as I had my Basketball Practice from 5:30 - 6:30 PM. My mom and I would go for practice everyday.
Once I was done with my game mom called up dad and informed him to come and pick us up and also asked him to get my dress for the Meeting.
After a little while, Dad arrived and we headed for the meeting. It was then that I realized my Dad did not bring my dress. I was really upset because I did not want to look like a clown with my tracksuit in the meeting. I yelled at my dad and stopped speaking to him.
As we were on our way, my dad pulled over towards a Gas Station. Just opposite to it was an Ice-cream Parlor, my Dad wanted to please me with an Ice-cream. He then asked me if I wanted one, I did not respond to him. But I told my mom that I wanted one. My mom got off the Car to get me an Ice-cream. Just then dad asked me if I wanted to go, I did not say a word. I then decided to just get off and go without telling him anything. By then the filling was done and my dad presuming that i was in, accelerated the car. At the same moment I was in the process of getting off the car.
It did happened!!! and I feel down with my face facing the ground. Both my legs were under the car and the tyre went over my legs. I screamed at the top of my voice, My mom and the people around rushed towards me but could not do anything. It all happened in a fraction of a second. The Car went over and my dad stopped as he heard me scream. Everybody rushed to help me as they thought I must have been badly hurt. My parents were worried about the wounds but they found none on my body. They presumed that I had an internal injury and that I may not be able to walk. But just then to everyone's surprise I just got up and walked. And that was God's divine protection.
It was completely God's divine grace that has kept me safe without even having a scratch on my body. It was that day that I experienced the wonderful protection of God. I also learnt a lesson to never be rude to my parents.
May each of us Experience God's love and protection in our lives.
And Keep Trending For Christ,
By HIS Grace,
