Flashhbackkk to 2009 I was in grade 6. We planned a family trip to Kodiakanal, as my maternal uncle worked there. This was during the Quaterly break.

My cousin (Richie who was 10 years old) and I (11 years old ) were so excited that we literally began all the preparations almost a month before our travel. We had our exams two weeks prior to the trip, even with our books in front we only thought of this Holiday. But it was during one of those days that my dad observed our excitement and asked if we were praying about the trip, and if we invited Jesus to the trip. We said no.

Richie immediately asked my dad how can we take Jesus on the trip as he must be busy taking care of everything here?

My dad then took us close to his side and told us that Jesus is Omnipresent and that he can be present everywhere, always. He also told us that we should involve Jesus in everything we do. The little versions of the both of us immediately knelt down and asked Jesus to join us on the trip.

Finally it was the day of our journey . We packed all our stuff and boarded the train. It was an amazing ride with my Grandma teaching us Christian Hymns. As it was a long journey we both along with our grandma had a competition of counting the number of stations on the way.

After a 22 hour journey we reached Deheradun. We then got into a taxi to go uphill to Kodaikanal.

After a long drive we finally reached Kodaikanal and immediately headed to my uncle's cottage. It was a beautiful wooden cottage with a fire place and huge lawn outside, outside the windows were these pretty mountain views.

The next day that was our Day 1, we headed to a local park that was very close by. We went street shopping and bought a few stuff.

On he second day we visited the Kodiakanal International School and we attended the church service as it was a Sunday. We met few of my uncle's collegues and had lunch and visited my uncle's class room where he taught after which,we went went shopping. The sweaters at the local market were just amazing cause I still use them till date.

The next day (Day 3) we just stayed back home cause it was very cold and foggy, but we had an amazing photoshoot in the house, we spend most of our time at the fireplace. In the evening, we headed out to one of my uncle's friends place and I helped them in making pakoda's.

The next Day was my birthday and we hosted a family party for all my uncle's friends. Once everyone got together we sang songs, all the children together played games and also performed a Sunday School program. Richie and I performed a special number and sang 'Here I am to worship'. We then had the cake cutting, after which Richie and I shared our testimonies about how we received the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Savior.

On day 5 we booked a taxi that took us around.

Kodia lake.

Pillar Rocks
Pine forest

Chettiar Park

Bear Shola falls

The next day we had to head back to Hyderabad and we definitely carried back a bunch of memories.

P.s I wanted to attach all the pictures we clicked back then, but that would have been really embarassing.

All along the trip we praised the Lord and thanked HIM for creating our world so beautifully.

All Glory and Honor to God alone.

Until the next trip,
